168 chairs made of bronze and stone are in nine rows representing the nine floors of the building. Each chair's glass base is etched with the name of a victim and symbolizes the absence felt by family members and friends. Nineteen smaller chairs represent the children lost. The field's perimeter matches the footprint of the Federal Building and is lined by a granite path ... granite salvaged from the Murrah Plaza.
