Example of the backroads in east Texas. This is US Highway 67. Fantastic day, wonderful drive away from the freeways. We totaled the mileage and using these scenic roads only added 30 miles to our day. Well worth it!
The road was marked "Texas Wildflower Trail" … white and pink dogwoods in the forest, azaleas, snowballs in the yards ... all in bloom! Gorgeous1
Back roads are definitely our favorite too! It's not altpgether fair that some places you have to use the Interstate to go anywhere! Such as from Tucson to anywhere east!
